At least nine people have lost their lives in separate rain-related incidents after which K-Electric urged the administration to declare emergency in the city.
People were also forced to spend their night without light as breakdown hit Dhabeji, Gharo and NE pumping stations due to rain.
Responding to the situation, Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) had visited various localities in the metropolis to monitor the post-rain situation. He also supervised the operation at the Korangi Causeway in which heavy machinery was used to rescue the people.
