International media bashes India for ending occupied Kashmir's special status
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – International media on Tuesday has badly denounced Indian government’s move of ending special status of occupied Kashmir by abolishing Articles 370 and 35A.
In an editorial, The New York Times called New Delhi’s move as dangerous and wrong. It said the United States, China, the United Nations and other powers with influence over India and Pakistan must urgently do what they can.
Meanwhile, The Guardian headlined the matter as, “India’s cancellation of Kashmir’s special status will have consequences.”
On the other hand, The Independent said that Indian government has closed the door to a democratic and peaceful solution of Kashmir issue.
