Will make Karachi clean, reiterates Ali Zaidi

Ali Zaidi said he he will announce a plan for Clean Karachi campaign on Saturday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi on Friday reiterated that his party ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will make the metropolis clean.

Speaking exclusively on Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, he said that he don’t see any authorities in Karachi, adding that the garbage of entire city was being dumped in the sea.

Ali Zaidi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would make Karachi clean, adding that city’s drain system would be cleaned in the first phase and for this there is need to devise a plan.

“Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar was cooperating with the PTI and he would announce a plan for Clean Karachi campaign on Saturday during a press conference,” Zaidi said and added the campaign would be started from Sunday with the cooperation of the federal government.

He said: “Norway is producing 95 percent of country’s electricity through garbage, adding that electricity can also be produced in Karachi through garbage but we need to work together for this.”
