KARACHI (Dunya News) – Snooker champion Asjad Iqbal is forced to travel by rickshaw owing to lack of financial support, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The cueist – currently participating in a championship in Karachi – uses a rickshaw to reach his destination on daily basis.
Asjad Iqbal maintained that he would have been awarded with a car had he been a cricketer. Snooker players are not supported by anyone regardless of their achievements, he complained.
Let it be known that Pakistan pair of Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Bilal recently won IBSF Snooker World Team Cup Championship against India at Doha, Qatar.
The players had brushed aside India’s Pankaj Advani and Laxman Rawat 3-1 in the title clash.
