Lahore: Traffic wardens nab murder suspect.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Traffic wardens nabbed a murder suspect – identified by a local – near Ravi Bridge in Lahore, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The suspect – who killed his wife in Rahim Yar Khan – tried to jump from the bridge but the bid was foiled by the wardens who chased him. Subsequently, the suspect was handed over to the Shahdara police.
The traffic police spokesperson told that the accused namely Mushtaq had murdered his wife on July 23, and a case is registered against him in Rahim Yar Khan.
Chief Traffic Officer Capt (r) Liaqat Ali Malik lauded the efforts of Inspector Raza and his fellows. Wardens are performing frontline duties to curb crimes and protect the citizens, he added.
