NEPRA increases power tariff by 10 Paisas per unit

The increase came after the cost of fuel went up while power consumers paid lower tariffs.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Tuesday approved an increase in power tariff by 10 paisas per unit.
According to a notification issued on Tuesday, NEPRA approved an 10 Paisas per unit increase in the price of electricity, however, this will not be applicable on K-Electric, agricultural and lifeline consumers.
The increase came after the cost of fuel went up while power consumers paid lower tariffs. The tariff revision would help recover the lost amount, the regulator said.
The price increase will impact, residential, commercial and industrial consumers.
