NEPRA likely to increase electricity prices by 21 paisa

Revised electricity prices to take effect for May.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) likely to increase electricity prices by 21 paisa for consumers for the month of May. 

NEPRA will make a final decision after the meeting on June 26 whereas electricity prices will be increased in the favor of fuel adjustment.

According to the sources, 26.69 per cent electricity from water and 12.12 per cent of electricity from coal was generated in May. 16.32 per cent electricity from local gas and 28.76 per cent electricity from imported Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) was generated.
