Our stance on military courts will not be changed: Bilawal
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said his party will not leave its support for outstanding issues including missing persons. He said their stance on military courts will not be changed.
While talking to media, Bilawal said judiciary is being pressurized and attacks on judiciary are being made under a conspiracy. He said there would no difference in dictatorship and democracy if institutions are run in this way.
Bilawal said he is keeping the ideology of Benazir Bhutto, Zulfiqar Bhutto and Asif Zardari alive. PPP leader said he is only talking about human rights on the issue of PTM, adding that they should be allowed to express their views in court.
He said PPP is ready to work with PML-N for the betterment of country, adding that no single party can resolve the outstanding issues of this country.
He said our priority to reject PTIMF budget. He said educational budget was slashed in biggest province of the country and an incompetent CM is ruling in Punjab.
He added that the people of Punjab are under the burden of economic terrorism. He said it is difficult for middle class persons to run the expenses of their house, adding that they would protest against this public enemy budget. He said PPP always sacrificed for democracy.
Bilawal said they would not compromise on their ideology and manifesto.
Answering a question about protest, he said PPP will move towards public and further decisions would be made in APC of opposition parties.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Saturday telephoned Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto and invited him at Jati Umra on June 16.
According to details, the PPP chairman has accepted the invitation and decided to reach the Sharif residence at 2.30pm on Sunday.
The invitation came few weeks after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arranged a grand Iftar party for the opposition leaders and also invited Maryam Nawaz to devise strategy against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
The PPP leader also hosted PML-N’s Hamza Shehbaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ayaz Sadiq among others. PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari, Sherry Rehman and Raza Rabbani were also present on the occasion.
