NAB decides not to arrest Asif Zardari in Solar Project Case

Following the NAB Investigation Officer’s statement, the court disposed off the case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In an apparent relief, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday decided not arrest former president Asif Ali Zardari in Solar Project Case.

A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani took up the bail before arrest plea of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman.

During the proceedings, the Investigation Officer of the anti-graft watchdog said that Asif Zardari’s arrest warrants had not been issued in Solar Project Case as his arrest at this phase was not necessary.

Following the NAB Investigation Officer’s statement, the court disposed off the case.
