Asif Zardari undergoes medical examination before court appearance.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A three-member medical team of polyclinic hospital conducted medical examination of former president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday (today) before his court appearance.
According to details, the medical team reached the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi office where blood samples of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman were taken.
It has been learnt that blood pressure and heart beat of the erstwhile president were examined before being produced before an accountability court, and he was declared completely fit.
Earlier, a medical board on Monday had completed medical checkup of Asif Ali Zardari and declared him fit after he was arrested by the anti-corruption watchdog following the refusal of his pre-arrest bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The medical board comprising Dr Asif Kamran, Dr Hamid Iqbalk and Dr Imtiaz Hassan conducted medical examination on the PPP co-chairman for about two hours. Asif Zardari’s diabetes and blood pressure were completely normal.
