ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Britain refused to hand over the alleged murderer of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Imran Farooq along with evidence to Pakistan on Friday.

According to the details, the trial of Imran Farooq murder case has entered into the final phase. The United Kingdom (UK) said we can neither hand over the accused nor evidence.

The UK informed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) that they won’t provide the evidence if they sentence death penalty to the accused.

Khalid Shamim, Maozzam Ali and Mohsin Ali are imprisoned in Adiala Jail whereas Iftikhar Hassan and Mohammad Anwar are alleged accomplices in the murder case.

On December 5, 2015, the FIA registered a case against the MQM chief and other party leaders for their alleged involvement in the 2010 murder of Dr Imran Farooq.
