He said only few are inciting and using them against state institutions for vested agenda.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya news) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Sunday said that no one will be allowed to undo the gains of decades long national struggle and sacrifices especially of brave Pakistani tribesmen.

In his latest tweet, Major General Asif Ghafoor said, “Innocent PTM supporters / workers need care. Only few are inciting and using them against state institutions for vested agenda.”

Earlier today, the ISPR in a statement had said that a group led by Members of the National Assembly (MNA) and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leaders Mohsin Javed and Ali Wazir, assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya, North Waziristan tribal district.

“They wanted to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists’ facilitator arrested the other day,” the statement further said.

The ISPR said: “Troops at the check post exercised maximum restraint in the face of provocation and direct firing on the post.”

Due to firing of the group five Army soldiers sustained injuries injured. In exchange of fire three individuals who attacked the post lost their lives and 10 got injured.

All injured evacuated to Army Hospital for treatment. Ali Wazir along with 8 individuals have been arrested while Mohsin Javed is at large after inciting the crowd.

Case registered against Gulalai Ismail

On May 23, a case had been registered against Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) activist Gulalai Ismail for making anti-state speech and inciting Pashuns against the government and armed forces.

The case was registered in Islamabad’s Shahzad Town Police Station which also included Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1999 (ATA).

It was stated in the FIR (First (Information Report) that Gulalai Ismail delivered an anti-state and hate speech during a protest rally organized in Islamabad against murder and alleged rape of 10-year-old girl Farishta.

It was also stated in the FIR that Gulalai Ismail used foul language against Pakistan and Pakistan Army and deliberately incited Pashuns against the government and armed forces.

Time is over

On April 30 while addressing a press conference, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) said that Indian and Afghan spy agencies provided financial assistance to Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) to stage protest in Pakistan and provoke people against the country’s armed forces.

He raised a few questions briefly to PTM leadership, pinpointing dates and location where they were provided the funds, adding that no one can fight with the state. He also questioned the PTM if they were part of Pakistan or Afghanistan.

While giving a message to the people of the tribal areas, the DG ISPR said, “Pakistan is yours and Pakistan Army is also yours, adding that the State stands by the people of tribal areas and wouldn’t rest until issues are resolved.”

Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said: “The PTM’s time is over now, adding that they have enjoyed the liberty they wanted to but now their time is up.” "We want to do everything for the people of tribal areas, but those who are playing in the hands of people, their time is up. Their time is up," Maj Gen Ghafoor said.

He asked the PTM to tell why only those who speak in favour of Pakistan Army are killed, and asked why do you meet the people who speak against the army.

He further questioned which relative of PTM chief Manzoor Pushteen visited the Indian embassy in Afghanistan and how much money did RAW (India s Research and Analysis Wing) give you for Torkhum rally? “Why don’t the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) give statement in your favour and why do you meet all anti-Pakistan people abroad,” he asked.

“Tell us how much money did you get from the NDS (Afghan National Directorate of Security) to run your campaign? How much money did RAW (India s Research and Analysis Wing) give you for the first dharna in Islamabad?”
