Will repeat performance of World Cup 2015, says Wahab Riaz.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz has Tuesday vowed to perform well in the ICC World Cup 2019 and repeat the performance that he gave in 2015’s edition.

The left-arm paceman talked to media in Lahore and affirmed that he will try not to bowl like he did against India in the Champions Trophy 2017, and had to apologize from the nation afterwards.

“I saw a dream eight days ago regarding my selection for the World Cup, and it has come true,” he said.

Let it be known that the 33-year-old was not picked up by the selection committee in the initial squad for the mega event.

Riaz – along with Mohammad Amir and Asif Ali – was included in the team after Pakistan lost 4-0 to England in the ODI series where bowlers could not perform well.

Pakistan will play two warm-up matches against Afghanistan and Bangladesh before opening their World Cup campaign against West Indies on May 31 in Nottingham.
