US dollar hits another all-time high at Rs150.
Karachi (Dunya News) – The value of the US dollar against the Pakistan rupee Friday hit another all-time high at Rs 150 after gaining Rs3 in the open market and at Rs149 after gaining Rs2.48 in the interbank market.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) also witnessed decline as KSE 100-index plunged by 900 points and traded at 33,100 points.
Experts believe that the sudden devaluation of local currency against the US dollar and the greenback hitting an all-time high of Rs150 is interlinked with the government’s commitments to the IMF.
Let it be known the value of the US dollar against the Pakistan rupee reached approximately Rs147 on Thursday (yesterday) after gaining Rs5.60 in the open market.
