Six more NA seats for ex-FATA after 26th amendment

There would be 51 general and 10 special seats for KPK now in National Assembly.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – After the approval of 26 constitutional amendment the National Assembly seats have increased to 342 again. Six additional NA seats for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after the amendment raised KP’s share to 61 seats in lower house.

There would be 51 general and 10 special seats for KPK now in National Assembly.

Out of 51 general seats in NA 12 would be for former FATA. Prior to amendment 6 NA seats were allocated for erstwhile FATA.

Moreover, there would be additional 10 seats in provincial assembly of KPK after the amendment raising the total seats to 155. In KPK assembly there would be 123 general seats, 8 women seats and 4 seats for minorities.

After the amendment, ex-FATA’s share in provincial assembly would increase to 24 from 16 with special seats for women increased to 6 from 4.
