Data Darbar blast: FIR registered at CTD police station

At least 10 people including three police officials were martyred in a suicide blast in Lahore.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – First Information Report (FIR) of the suicide blast near Data Darbar Lahore has been registered at CTD police station.

The case has been registered on the complaint of CTD Police Station SHO Abid Baig.

In FIR 3 accused including suicide bomber are included. Two accomplices gave farewell to suicide bomber by waving hands.

The blast took place around 8:45am outside Gate number 2 of Data Darbar, where the police personnel were deployed for security. Clauses of terrorism, murder, attempt to murder and others have been included in the report.

At least 10 people including three police officials were martyred and scores injured in a suicide blast outside the Data Darbar shrine in Lahore on Wednesday morning.

The funeral prayers of police officials who were killed in a suicide blast near Data Darbar Lahore were offered earlier.

Funeral prayers of Data Darbar blast victims offered

The funeral prayers were offered in police lines Qila Gujjar Singh. The funeral prayers were attended by Governor Punjab Ch Sarwar, CM Punjab Usman Buzdar and provincial law minister Raja Basharat.

IG Punjab Arif Nawaz Khan, CCPO Lahore and other police officers also attended the funeral prayers. The martyrs were paid homage by police band.

The dead bodies were handed over to relatives after the collective funeral prayers. The martyrs include head constable Gulzar Ali, Shahid Nazir, Muhammad Sohail and Constable Muhammad Salim. The victims belong to Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala and Sargodha.
