Sources said that news about Chaudhry Nisar taking oath as MPA have no truth in it

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Former Interior Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar who won the seat in Provincial Assembly decided today not to take oath as a member of it.

Sources told Lahore News that the news about Chaudhry Nisar taking oath as MPA have no truth in it. He is busy leading his league and meeting other members.

Earlier today, it was reported that he is going to exercise politics in Punjab and attend the coming Punjab Assembly meeting. It was also reported that he will conduct few important meetings in next one or two weeks where he will be consulted about his responsibility as the new Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab.

In 2018, Chaudhry Nisar contested as an independent candidate from PP-10 Rawalpindi and won the poll. He secured 56,145 votes whereas his opponent Naseer-ul-Hasnain secured only 22,253 votes.

Although, former IM lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ghulam Sarwar Khan in NA-63 where Ghulam Sarwar won with 64301 votes while he garnered only 48497 votes placing him second to PTI member. PML-N Sardar Mumtaz Khan came third with 22475 votes.

He also lost in NA-59 receiving only 66,369 votes against PTI Ghulam Sarwar Khan who secured 89,055 votes and sweeped the victory.

According to the sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan has tasked CM Punjab Usman Buzdar to develop an analysis report of all provincial cabinet members. He said he will not compromise over performance in Punjab.
