PBG wins MP Bhandara Polo final beating CLS

PBG clinched the victory scoring seven goals whereas CLS managed to score only 3 and a half points.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The President‘s Bodyguards (PBG) won the 115th M.P. Bhandara Polo Cup scoring seven goals against CLS in the final at Race Course Park Rawalpindi.

Both teams exhibited brilliance through strong sportsmanship and courageous personality for the development of sports in the country.

PBG clinched the victory scoring seven goals whereas CLS managed to score only 3 and a half points.

Total seven teams participated in the tournament.

The M.P. Bhandara Memorial Polo Cup is one of the oldest Polo Tournaments in the country and was first played in 1904.

A large number of crowd witnessed the exciting final as they cheered for both the teams.

The guests of honors that attended the event were Senator Sitara Ayaz and the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Poland, Egypt, Sweden, and Bulgaria who distributed the prize with Chief Executive Murree Brewery Company Isphanyar Bhandara.

Isphanyar Bhandara said, “sports help in developing the mental and physical abilities of the youth. This builds their character along with improving patience and courage in their personalities, because self-confidence in a person can play an important role in the country’s development.”

At the end of the match young army individuals showcased tent pegging alongside horse dancing to provide a wave of joy to the viewers.
