ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The incumbent government is taking four names under consideration for the post of finance advisor as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has decided to resign as Finance Minister, sources reported. The names include Shaukat Tareen, Hafeez Pasha, Dr Ishrat Hussain and Salman Shah. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has also summoned Federal Minister for Power Umar Ayub Khan to the Prime Minister House. It is to be mentioned here that Umar took to Twitter and informed that PM Imran Khan asked him to take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance. Asad Umar said that he has decided not to take any cabinet position after the premier’s consent, adding that he strongly believes Imran Khan is the best hope for Pakistan. The development has occurred amidst an economic crisis. Imran Khan had expressed dissatisfaction over Asad Umar’s performance earlier as well.
