After Baluchistan, devastating rain system enters Punjab

Met office advised farmers to take precautionary measures during the forecast period.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Drizzling starts in south of Punjab where rain showers in parts of Lahore.
The Western wave of rains caused heavy damage in Baluchistan earlier. The same rain system has entered in Punjab now.
Met Office informed that a shallow westerly wave is presently affecting upper and central parts of the country. This weather system is likely to intensify on Sunday (evening/night) and grip most parts of the country on Monday.
1 dead while 16 others were injured in provincial capital due to heavy thunderstorm that damaged buildings. According to rescue officials, one person lost his life in ShadBagh area and 7 sustained injuries. The injured have been shifted to Mayo hospital.
The travelers have been advised to remain attentive during journey.
Meanwhile, a thunder storm with 84Km/h air blow in Multan affected the electricity distribution system badly. Due to heavy rains 115 feeders of MEPCO tripped while 8 were injured in different accidents.
In Faisalabad air blow of 55km/h damaged many trees where glass of many building break. The roads flooded with water and feeders tripped causing electricity oitage.
Balochistan: Flash flood kills four in Pishin
According to Met office, this weather system will bring dust-thunderstorm/rain at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
They added that widespread dust-thunderstorm/rain, with few moderate to isolated heavy falls, is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan & Kashmir from Monday to Wednesday.
Widespread dust-thunderstorm/rain (with few moderate to isolated heavy falls) is also expected in Balochistan from Sunday evening to Tuesday, they added.
They also said that dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected at scattered places in Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana, Sh.Benazirbad, Hyderabad and Karachi divisions) on Monday and Tuesday.
Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period. Heavy falls may generate flash flooding in local nullah/riverine in Makran, Quetta, Zhob, D.G khan divisions on Monday/Tuesday.
Heavy rains may trigger landslides in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir on Tuesday and Wednesday.
