Tax revenue is increasing by giving rights to lower strata: Hashim

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Finance Minister of Punjab said that due to policies of incumbent government there would be no need to go to IMF or World Bank in future.

Addressing at a tax day ceremony in Lahore, provincial finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht expressed that the government was introducing such reforms which would refrain us from seeking help of others.He said the results of these bitter pills of reforms would show gradually.

The minister said that government was introducing easy ways for tax payers, adding that the intervention of officer would be lessened and respect would be given to taxpayers.

He further said that tax revenue was increasing by giving rights to lower strata. The gifts including cars were distributed among tax payers in the ceremony.
