Accountability court to take up NAB's 2nd reference in fake accounts case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An accountability court of Islamabad will take up the second reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the fake accounts case, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

The details suggest that a total of 19 persons including Aftab Memon and Omi Group head Abdul Ghani Majeed have been nominated in the Pink Residency reference.

The registrar office of the accountability court has forwarded the case to Judge Arshad Malik after completing the scrutiny of the papers.

The suspects have been accused of causing Rs2.5 billion loss to the national exchequer through illegal land allotments.

The NAB reference claims that the suspects unlawfully allotted land to Pink Residency by using fake accounts and accuses them of abuse of power. The anti-corruption watchdog has also confiscated the 30 acres of land that were allotted in Karachi.
