Saudi Arabia revives art culture with Pakistani dramas

Event for Pakistani expatriate will be held next month in Saudi Arabia attended by Pakistani artists
RIYADH (Web Desk) – Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry revealed today Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are looking forward to strengthen the cultural ties between both countries by utilizing Pakistan’s actors, directors and other artists’ virtuosity at Saudi Arabia’s new arts academies.
Speaking to media in Riyadh, the information minister said: “Pakistan is fully supporting the cultural revival of Saudi Arabia.”
Stating that the “Indus civilisation of Pakistan is more than 5,000 years old and we have a diversified and rich cultural history”, Chaudhry said, “Our institutions of culture and performing arts are well established and they are ready to extend cooperation to Saudi Arabia. The kingdom can utilise the services of expert calligraphers, artists, directors and film actors of Pakistan.”
Arabic dubbed versions of Pakistani dramas will also be aired to benefit the local export. Also Saudi Airlines is being approached to use Pakistani dramas as their in-flight entertainment.
An event for Pakistani expatriate will be held next month in Saudi Arabia which will be attended by Pakistani artists to spread its wing beyond the Pakistan.
Vision 2030, a socioeconomic plan for Saudi Arabia, is encouraging re-opening of cinemas, fashion shows, concerts and other artistic activities to reinvigorate the entertainment section of the country.
Appreciating the role of Saudi Arabia in the recent escalation between India and Pakistan, the information minister said, “Saudi Arabia is a genuine well-wisher of Pakistan”.
