India opt to bowl in 3rd ODI against Australia.
RANCHI (AFP) - India skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first in the third one-day international against Australia in Ranchi on Friday.
The hosts, who lead the five-match series 2-0, have fielded an unchanged side in their bid to clinch the series.
"Looks like a decent track, could be dry in the afternoon and dew could settle in later. Dew is basically the main factor behind chasing," Kohli said at the toss.
"We are proud of the way we played in the first two games. We have been used to 300-350 games but to have these old fashioned 250 games is really pleasing. We don’t mind grinding out wins in such fashion."
Australia have made one change to their starting line-up with Jhye Richardson coming in for Nathan Coulter-Nile who has returned home for the birth of his second child.
"Not the traditional Indian wickets where you can stand and deliver, need to graft," skipper Aaron Finch said.
"Would have been nice to win (the previous two games) but we’re still confident. We’ve done well despite not really playing our best game, so if we can do that, it should be fine."
