ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said that Indian PM himself came to meet Nawaz Sharif in the past but now does not even bother to receive call of nuclear power’s premier Imran Khan.

Addressing the National Assembly, he expressed serious concerns over the policies of government by terming them as a threat for the country.

“We improved the economic infrastructure in five years; CPEC became game changer for Pakistan. World Bank declared in January 2018 that the country’s economy will progress by six percent. The economy which was boosting from past five years crashed in seven months,” he maintained.

“It was said in the speech that they came to know of the deficit after coming in power. This could be argument of a primary student but not of the founder of new Pakistan,” condemned Iqbal.

“Prime Minister vowed that he will not beg from anyone but he did that from IMF. Two mini budgets were unveiled by the government which means that they did not had their homework done. It was claimed during election campaign that they had the best team of the world. Seven months in power and second mini budget is coming,” said the PML-N leader.
