PPP’s Sajid Toori will be made chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Border Affairs
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to be appointed as the chairman of the Human Rights Committee.
The heads of the three standing committees of the National Assembly would be elected tomorrow.
Sources said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would head the Communication Committee and Ebadullah or Rana Ishaq would be the chairman of the committee.
Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed is against appointing Ebadullah as the committee chairman as he is the nephew of the PML-N leader Ameer Muqam, who is facing allegations of corruption in NHA contracts.
Meanwhile, PPP’s Sajid Toori will be made chairman of the State and Border Affairs Committee.
