Unfortunately Indian polls always based on anti-Pakistan rhetoric: Mehbooba Mufti

War is not the solution of the issue.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former chief minister of the Indian-occupied Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that following the Pulwama attack no one is ready to listen anyone.
Speaking exclusively at Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, she said that innocent Kashmiris are being targeted following the Pulwama attack which left more than 40 Indian soldiers were dead, adding that the Kashmiri students and traders are being everywhere in the valley.
The ex-occupied Kashmiri CM said that unfortunately Kashmiri election is badly used against Pakistan, adding that Afzal Guru was executed before 2014 elections and the entire Valley had to bear the brunt of the his hanging.
Mufti went on to say that important development on Kashmir had been made in former prime minister Vajpayee’s tenure, adding that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Nawaz Sharif to attend his oath-taking ceremony, also visited Lahore, but unfortunately the peace related developments were derailed following Pathankot and Uri incidents.
“Pakistan should urge the Indian government not to take emotional decisions,” she said and added steps should be taken to avoid any kind of clash as it would benefit innocent Kashmiris.
She said: “War is not the solution of the issue, instead dialogues can be held. People with a thinking of peace should come forward in the present situation as the US is also holding negotiations after over 12 years of war in Afghanistan.”
Mufti further added that Kashmir dispute has escalated during the last 30 years and increasing the number of troops in occupied Kashmir will further worsen the situation.
