Pakistan is ready to respond with full force if India initiates attack, sources told.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In the wake of Indian threats and warmongering, Pakistan will move troops from western border to eastern border if tension escalates further between the two countries, diplomatic sources informed on Saturday.

According to diplomatic sources, threats from India cannot be ruled out amid prevailing situation.

“Pakistan does not want atmosphere of fear but the country is ready to respond with full force if India imposed war,” sources told.

It was further reported that Pakistan is in contact with the friendly countries as it needs their moral and political support.

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan army said it is prepared to defend against any attack by India, and would respond with full force. The clear message was delivered by DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan authorised the military to begin preparations for a possible attack.

"We have no intention to initiate war, but we will respond with full force to full spectrum threat, that would surprise you," said Major General Asif Ghafoor.

"We do not wish to go to war. If it is imposed on us, we have the right to respond," he told.

After a suicide blast killed around 50 India soldiers in Pulwama district of Occupied Kashmir, India had vowed a "jaw-breaking response" to the attack claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group.

In response, Pakistan said it was "not involved in any way, means or form" in the attack which it claimed was "conceived, planned and executed indigenously".

Islamabad reiterated its offer to help investigate the attack and to take action against anyone found to be using the Pakistani soil for attacks on India.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also offered to hold a dialogue with India on all issues, including "terrorism". He had also demanded India to provide evidence for its claims regarding Pulwama incident.
