'It was so shocking': Madhuri Dixit on Alok Nath rape accusations

(Web Desk) – Bollywood Actress Madhuri Dixit said it was shocking to read names like Alok Nath and director Soumik Sen in the #MeToo controversy.

“It is always shocking. Because you’ve known them and you’ve not known them like that. It is always shocking when something like that comes out. What you’ve known them and what you’re reading is two different people. It was so shocking,” Madhuri told an Indian news agency.

Madhuri had worked with Alok Nath in films like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Jamai Raja. She had also been directed by Soumik Sen in Gulaab Gang.

The actress is gearing up for the release of Total Dhamaal. After this, she will be seen in Karan Johar’s production Kalank, which features an ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur.

Originally, Sridevi was meant to do the film, before she passed away in February last year. The role eventually went to Madhuri.
