KDA worker's murder in Ferozabad proves to be target killing

FEROZABAD (Dunya News) – First information report (FIR) has been registered on Wednesday in the case pertaining to murder of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) worker Muhammad Ali Shah.

The incident has been proven a target killing as the bullets collected from the crime scene were matched to the bullets of 30 bore pistol that was also used in the murder of Askari Raza in 2011, forensic reports revealed.

Muhammad Ali Shah was the petitioner of the Askari Raza murder case.

The case was lodged at police station of Firozabad, on behalf of the victim’s brother-in-law. The FIR was filed against unknown person under the provisions of terrorism and murder.

 

Earlier, Ferozabad SHO Aurangzeb Khattak had reported that the attacker had used a 30-bore pistol, and a spent bullet shell found on the crime scene has been sent for forensic analysis, he added.

The officer added that two extortionists among 18 were held and search operation is underway to arrest others.

It is pertinent here to mention that Syed Mohammad Ali Shah, 45, was shot dead when he was near Tayyaba Masjid in PECHS Block-2 on Tuesday evening.

The wounded man was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre but he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was the resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
