(Web-Desk)- Khans who have ruled Bollywood for most part of the last three decades seem to have lost their charm in 2018. The box office success that is synonymous with the names of the three A-listers has slowly but surely swayed in favor of the new blood.
The superstars much hyped releases didn’t get expected results as hoped from the Big Threes’. Though their movies were released on Eid, Diwali and Christmas to capitalize on the holiday lull yet they could’t win over the public.
Salman Khan’s Race 3 ended up with a collection of Rs 166.40 crore, Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan was a box-office disaster that could not make more than Rs 151.19 crore and Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero was the worst, struggling to reach even the Rs 100 crore-mark bagging Rs 88.85 crores so far.
The three Khans’ faced the same box office predicament in 2006 when Dhoom 2 and Krrish starred by Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer Lage Raho Munna Bhai grabbed the first three positions.
In 2018 Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju is the top grosser while Ranveer Singh’s Padmaavat and Simmba are the second and third according to box office results.
