Those who looted the country will be punished in accordance with law: Naeemul Haq

Country was looted with callousness in last ten years by the erstwhile ruler

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq on Saturday said that former rulers who looted the country will be punished in accordance with law.

Addressing a press conference, he said that Pakistan Muslim League-N s (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been awarded imprisonment while the next turn is for former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

"Country was looted with callousness in last ten years by the erstwhile ruler," Naeemul Haq added.

Commenting on Pak-USA relations, the special assistance said that President Trump is looking forward to meeting PM Imran Khan to discuss the Afghan peace process.

He went on to say that PM Khan will next week announce reforms to eradicate poverty from the country, adding that the prime minister had a successful visit to Turkey.

"Pakistan is on its way to golden age as within a few months country s economic situation will improve, however, the government is determined to eradicate poverty," PM s special assistance added.
