Power tariff reduced by 32 paisa per unit

The decrease in electricity prices will provide a relief of Rs2 billion to the consumers.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday issued a notification while approving a cut in power tariff amounting to 32 paisa per unit.

The decrease in electricity prices will provide a relief of Rs2 billion to the consumers.

As per the notification, the power tariff has been reduced in accordance with the fuel adjustment of November.

NEPRA has directed to provide the relief to consumers in the bills of January.

The fuel adjustment is not applicable on people using less than 300 units, lifeline and agricultural consumers.

The decision will be valid for all power distributing companies except K-Electric.
