Pakistan scores 181 in first innings of Test match against South Africa

First Test of the three-match series begins at Centurion

JOHANNESBURG (Dunya News) - The first test of the three-match series between South Africa and Pakistan has begun today (Wednesday) at Centurion Park in South Africa at 01:00 PM (0800 GMT).

Pakistan scored 181 runs for 10 wickets in the first innings.

Imam-ul-Haq could not score any runs after playing nine balls.

Fakhar Zaman has scored only 12 runs out of 17 balls.

Shan Masood has scored 19 for 34 balls, whereas Asad Shafiq could score only 7 runs for 12 balls.

The Captain Sarfraz Ahmad could not score any run while Azhar Ali scored 36 runs of 69 balls.

Muhammad Amir scored 1 run after playing 15 balls, followed by Yasir Shah, who could score 4 runs for 10 balls.

Babar Azam, the highest scorer of the innings, made 71 runs of 79 balls.

Hassan Ali could score only 21 runs for 28 balls.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Shadab Khan and Mohammad Abbas are not fit for the first Test. Fakhar Zaman opened the batting with Imam-ul-Haq.

Pakistan is expected to play the game with three front-line seam bowlers including Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi.

On the other hand, struggling South African batting star Hashim Amla will return to his number three position in the batting lineup in the match.
