COAS pays tribute to APS martyrs, salutes their parents

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar and salute to their parents.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS in his message on the eve to mark 4th anniversary of APS martyrs said: “Remembering & praying for our APS Martyrs. Salute to the brave parents. Nation has bravely faced challenges at heavy cost to come out successful.”
“We stay united & steadfast to carry forward Pakistan to its rightful destination of peace & prosperity, Inshallah”, the message added.
Meanwhile, the 4th anniversary of martyrs of terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar observed. A ceremony to pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of Army Public School and College was held at Warsak Road in Peshawar.
The ceremony started with a special prayer for Shaheeds, followed by national anthem.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour.
In a tweet in connection with the 4th anniversary of terrorist attack on Army Public School, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government is committed to fully implement the National Action Plan to get rid of all forms of terrorism, violence and hatred.
The prime minister prayed for the survivors and families of the victims of the incident.
