PTI government has multiplied the burden on public by raising taxes on all commodities.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – While the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has reached its opening 100-day milestone a number of claims and promises are left to be fulfilled as contrary to incumbents  tall claims to provide relief, the public finds the 10 % increase in taxes on commodities and edibles as nothing short of adding insult to injury.

During first 100 days the imposition of added tax has multiplied the burden on public rendering them unable to conveniently fulfill needs of commodities e.g flour, sugar, cooking oil, soap and shampoo and the list goes on.

According to retailers, the increase in commodities and eatables  prices is a result of dollar s appreciation and the increased taxes on the same. On the other hand public has demanded government to bridle and freeze the prices of basic items consumption and edibles at reasonable level.
