Fake bank accounts case: SC directs to shift Abdul Ghani to Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head on Monday has sought time for one month to compile final report on fake bank accounts case.
During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar ordered to shift Omni Group chairman Anwar Majeed’s son Abdul Ghani Majeed to Adiala Jail as he is dictating the whole Sindh on telephone calls.
The hearing has been adjourned for a week.
Earlier, a session court in Karachi had declared former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur absconders in the case, while, main accused Omni Group Chairman Anwar Majeed along with his son Abdul Ghani were arrested from Supreme Court (SC).
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had prepared a report, revealing that more than 10 political personalities were allegedly involved in fictitious transactions worth Rs.35 billion.
