Government has nothing to do with the review petition filed against Supreme Court’s verdict

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday said that everyone thing would be fine if the opposition is given National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Talking to media outside the parliament in Islamabad, he said that the media didn’t act responsibly on Asia Bibi issue, adding that Pakistan is an independent country.

The minister said that concerted efforts would be made to reform the institutions of the Ministry of Information and bring them out of the mess created by the previous governments.

Chaudhry went on to say that fake news had been reported regarding Asia Bibi. It is not like that an Ambassador come and we release Asia Bibi, he said and added false news pertaining to her leaving Pakistan were telecasted.

He made it clear that the government has nothing to do with the review petition filed against Supreme Court’s verdict.

The minister said: “The demand to make Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif is unacceptable.”

“Prime Minister Imran Khan would not make any deal,” he added.
