Peshawar Zalmi now 30-club strong after inclusion of Glasgow

Chairman Javed Afridi said Zalmi franchise is now in 26 countries with 30 teams.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Super League (PSL) top franchise in terms of brand value Peshawar Zalmi announced on Tuesday it h0ad added Glasgow to its ever-expanding network of cricket clubs.

“Peshawar Zalmi has achieved another wondrous feat. We are now 30-club strong for Global Zalmi League. Glasgow Zalmi is the latest addition. We are now in 26 countries with 30 teams,” Chairman Javed Afridi said in a statement.

“Global Zalmi has become a platform for overseas Pakistanis to showcase their cricketing talent and pave way for themselves into their National teams, as Global Zalmi players are representing their countries. More countries will join Global Zalmi league as well,” he added.

Global Zalmi is Pakistan s first and only league that is providing opportunities to overseas Pakistani cricketers and is present in over 25 countries.

The clubs have increased to around 30 and have been registered officially with the Global Zalmi League.

The league started in 2017 and its second edition happened in 2018. The schedule for the third season will be announced soon.
