Imran said the portal would enable government to understand the performance of ministries.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday reiterated his pledge to tackle corruption, saying the accountability process will not end until justice catches up with corrupt elements.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of ‘Pakistan Citizen Portal’, an application developed for citizens to register their complaints and suggestions with the government, Imran Khan said corrupt elements will not be spared.
“They will cry over their so-called threat to democracy. Whenever they are held accoutanble they decry their ouster. We’re just getting started,” he added.
Referring to the workings of the application, the prime minister said that the portal would enable the government to understand the performance of ministries and departments.
“Future policies will be made after getting public response and feedback. (The portal) will also give a better voice to overseas Pakistanis and expatriates.
“Every citizen will know how much time it will take to respond to their query since each case is different. We will publish all the complaints data coming in, so the public holds provincial governments accountable too.
“Before putting in your complaint on the system, the address, ID card details will all be asked for and this database will be connected with NADRA so we will know if a complaint is authentic or not,” he added.
