The ex-president says trading accounts were being declared illegal
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman is trying to hold an all parties conference (APC) and he has promised to attend the APC but his party has no intentions of overthrowing the government
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has problem with him, but his friends were being nabbed, adding that he was being targeted since general elections.
“It would not be new if you read news of my arrest,” Zardari said.
The PP co-chairman went on to say that the action was being taken for supporting a group in Sindh, while one of his friends was arrested after receiving a phone call from him.
The ex-president said that trading accounts were being declared illegal.
Zardar said people setting up industries in Sindh were being picked up. “I did not seek the NRO from Musharraf. Why will I demand the NRO from the present rulers?” he said.
“The government is staging the drama to revoke the 18th amendment,” he added.
Regarding Black Day being observed by Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) against Indian occupation, he said that the struggle of Kashmiris was yielding results.
