PM Imran takes notice of poor health facilities in Thar

The premier ordered authorities to provide state-of-the-art medical facilities the residents.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday directed authorities concerned to provide two mobile hospitals and four ambulances as well as issue health cards to the people of Thar.
Imran Khan while taking notice of the poor health services in the impoverished region ordered the authorities to provide state-of-the-art medical facilities, including two mobile hospitals and four ambulances to the residents.
He also ordered health officials to ensure presence of medical staff and availability of medicines in the drough-hit area, saying the hospital in Thar will be up-graded.
An alarming number of residents have committed suicide, thousands of children lost their liver and uncountable number of livestock and cattle have vanished in Thar.
In 2018 alone more than 500 children succumbed to water and food scarcity and severe climate conditions. Every year almost 1500 children die of malnutrition, infections and lack of proper medical facilities in the region.
