PU illegal appointments: Ex-VC handed over to NAB on 10-day physical remand

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Accountability Court (AC) in Lahore has handed over Punjab University former vice chancellor Dr. Mujahid Kamran to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on ten days physical remand over involvement in a case pertaining to alleged illegal appointments in connivance with ex-registrars of university during his two consecutive terms by virtue of extension awarded to him.

He, along with other accused, was produced before an Accountability Court in Lahore.

Hearing the case AC Judge Justice Najmul Hassan handed over Mujahid Kamaran along with five ex-registrars of PU to NAB on a 10-day physical remand to probe the case. Mujahid Kamran is charged with making different appointments in violation of rules and regulations during his tenure as VC.

Earlier, NAB had arrested Mujahid Kamran and other accused on Thursday.
