Punjab CM directs to investigate death of a female student
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Hundreds of students on Friday staged a protest demonstration against the college and hostel administration Government College For Women in Rawalpindi after a girl mysteriously died at in college hostel.
As per the details, the deceased student Arooj Fatima, resident of Fateh Jang was student of BS English third semester and was residing in room No 31 at science hostel of college.
According to her hostelmates some poisonous insect bit him on Thursday night, while the initial postmortem report didn’t find any trace of insect biting or torture.
The doctors have also collected samples of Arooj’s stomach, finger and blood that have been sent to Punjab Forensic Lab for detailed report.
On the other hand, the news of death of female student spread like wildfire and the college students came out of their class rooms and staged protest demonstration against the college administration.
Angry students alleged that the college administration tried to cover up the incident by declaring a suicide.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and directed to investigate death of a female student at hostel of Post Graduate College for Women in Rawalpindi.
He said the report should be furnished after considering all the aspects of the incident. Sardar Usman Buzdar said action will be taken against whoever is responsible.
Chief Minister also expressed deep sorrow over the death of student and condoled with the bereaved family.
