Funeral prayers of officers martyred in North Waziristan offered

Large number of people attended the funeral.

NORTH WAZIRISTAN (Dunya News) – Funeral prayers of the soldiers martyred in North Waziristan operation have been offered at GHQ today (Sunday).

Large number of people attended the funeral after which, the bodies of the martyrs were dispatched to their native areas.

Earlier, at least nine terrorists were killed whereas seven army personnel including an officer have embraced martyrdom during an IBO [intelligence-based operation] in the Gharlamai and Spera Kunar Algad of North Waziristan.

The operation was ordered after information had been received that a group of terrorists was hiding in a compound after infiltrating from across [the Afghan] border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a brief statement.
