Earthquake takes 60 lives in Myanmar, Thailand

A devastating earthquake took 60 lives in the border areas of Myanmar and Thailand.

An earthquakeof 6.8 magnitude at Richter scale rocked the border areas of Myanmar and Thailand, causing demolition of hundreds of buildings due to which 60 people lost their lives and several others were injured.Thai officials said the epicentre of the earthquake was 800 kilometers away from Bangkok, whereas the Myanmar officials fear increase in casualties.Earthquake jolts were also felt in the neighbouring countries, mainly in Vietnam and China.
