Military court has declared Brigadier Ali Khan convicted of having links with banned outfit.

He was accused of igniting rebellion in connivance with a banned organization for establishment of Khilafat.He was arrested on May, 2011 from Rawalpindi where he planned to materialize his conspiracy. Last year, he was put on trial under the supervision of Major General in Sialkot and declared convicted after one year on June 20, 2012.While recording their statements, five military officers as witnesses of prosecution told the court that the accused had urged them to rebellion against the state. According to the rules and regulation, the military court will send its written verdict to the Corps Commander Gujranwala. Then it would be forwarded to the chief of Army staff before publicly announcing the verdict.According to the military rules of business, this entire procedure could take from a few weeks time to several months.If proven guilty, Brigadier Ali Khan could face the death sentence.
