Tourists from all over the world enjoyed International Bed Race held in Thailand.

The fourth annual Pattaya International Bed Race was held on Sunday at the beach with dozens of teams in the competition.Heavy rain didnt dampen the spirits of the hundreds of spectators who came to watch the decorative beds compete. Each team was made up of six members - five runners and one on the bed, though the rules werent very strict. Competitors were able to show off their beds in a parade prior to the race. The events organizer, Niels Colov, says the teams represent the international stage. There was a bat-mobile with superheroes running, a boat-bed, and a bed designed as a bathtub. Once the competition began, the teams ran 1.5 kilometers straight down the popular strip starting from the Central Pattaya Mall to the southern end of the beach. Many supporters sitting at bars, restaurants and clubs cheered the race on.Every team received a trophy this year, but the biggest trophies went to the fastest team and three others for the most decorative. The winners this year said the rain helped make the road slippery and it was easier to run. Though the team leader, Chris Wilcott, says it was still really exhausting.Organizers say at least half a million baht (16,667 U.S. dollars) was raised this year and the money will go to various charities in Pattaya.
