ECP maintained that even foreign commentators praised 'transparency' of 2013 elections.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday rejected ‘systematic’ election rigging allegations leveled against former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry along with a number of ECP staffers, Dunya News reported.
ECP categorically rejected the allegation that the general elections 2013 were rigged. In a session chaired by interim Chief Election Commissioner Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, it was decided that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and former Additional Secretary Election Commission Muhammad Afzal Khan’s allegations are baseless.
They said that the transparency of 2013 elections was even praised by the foreign commentators. Election Commission maintained that the Returning Officers (ROs) were appointed from the judiciary on demand of the political parties.
The footages of Imran Khan and Afzal Khan’s allegations were also reviewed in the meeting.
