Lahore: Policeman withdraws from his announcement to join PTI

Ramzan took his words back reasoning that he does not know what he said as he was tipsy.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The police officer, who announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the Lahore sit-in yesterday evening, retracted today stating that he was not conscious while making such an announcement.

Police officer of the Gulberg police station, Ramzan announced to join PTI during the Liberty Chowk sit-in and submitted his salary to the party fund. Later, police of the relevant police station took him along with them and locked him up overnight. During this course of incident, Ramzan’s medical checkup was also carried out and the results came negative.

In the morning, Ramzan took his words back reasoning that he doesn’t know what he said as he was tipsy.

On the directives of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, Ramzan is being interrogated in Gulberg police station.
